Today was a busy day for both T6:BR cabinets at CHQ.
I'll summarize the results from the official HD T6:BR machine first since those wins and losses are recorded onto my card.
An uncarded Eddy was playing on the 1P side. I challenged him and he quickly switched to an uncarded Miguel. I beat him in 2 rounds easily by sidestepping to my right and then punishing his whiffed attacks.
Then someone with a card showed up! His card was called Kix and he had a record of 2 wins and 1 loss. I sidestepped enough of his attacks and then punished his whiffed strings to win the match although he did put me into rage both rounds. He kept challenging me and it went on for 5 matches until he got a promotion chance! He lost that match too though.
Then a carded Law player with a rank of 6th Kyu showed up! (He had no name on the card/It was completely deleted!) The record was 7 wins and 3 losses. I promptly handed him 5 wins and a perfect in the last match. He kept flipkicking me whenever I attacked and then did a tracking sweep whenever I tried to sidestep him at close range. I think I gave him 2 promotions during my 5-game losing streak against him.
It felt like a repeat of Rip and Tokido's final match at this year's Evo with him as Rip and I as Tokido except I don't play Bob.

I thought of the best thing to do during the round against him only on the train ride back though: backdash at the start of the round and then sidewalk whenever possible!
Then he went to play Law on the T5 cabinet housing the T6:BR kit. I tried challenging him with both Steve and Kazuya but he beat them both in 3 straight rounds. It seems he prefers to play on the 2P side regardless of the cabinet.
Unfortunately, that wasn't it for the official HD T6:BR cabinet as a boy decided to select Roger Jr. and then he started bashing in the buttons on the 2P side with his fists! Fortunately, a man saw what he was doing and he quickly decided to put an end to it quickly before the first stage even ended by challenging him with an uncarded Steve! The button-bashing boy quickly switched to an uncarded Armor King. It went down to a final round before the uncarded Steve won the match.
I decided to challenge this uncarded Steve with my main and he stuck with the uncarded Steve. I easily sidestepped or blocked most of his attacks as I am naturally familiar with the character. I seem to recall it ended in 2 rounds.
Then an old friend decided to show up to play me! He decided to pick an uncarded Steve probably because he knew me back when I still used my Steve card! It was as one-sided as my previous match with Steve as I knew again what attacks were coming and sidestepped or blocked most of them before punishing appropriately.
I asked him where his Asuka was and he promptly decided to play his carded Asuka against my card. It was Mayvin and it was 2nd Dan. I didn't have enough time to record his win/loss record as I was playing him. It was a harder fight naturally as I am nowhere as familiar with Asuka as I am with Steve so the match went the full 3 rounds. Fortunately, I have had experience playing another Asuka and I abused the one low and the 2 mids that could not be countered as much as possible and that won me the match!
There was someone playing Jin on the old T5 cabinet housing the T6:BR kit. I challenged him with Steve and I believe it ended quickly as I abused WS+1,2, sonic fang, f,f+2 and d/b+3,2 and met with little resistance.
The interesting thing was that someone actually picked Steve to challenge me for another mirror match just like the other day on the old T5 cabinet housing the T6:BR kit! He did win 1 round as I got too predictable in one of my rounds with leaning to my right and d/b+3,2. Fortunately I switched to d/b+2 for the quick ground damage and I closed out the match.
Then came a female Lee Chaolan player against a King player on the T5 cabinet housing the T6:BR kit. It came down to a fifth and final round but the female Lee Chaolan player won!
Then one of her other friends decided to pick Armor King and we had 2 female Tekken players playing each other. This time the Armor King player won but the other girl decided to rematch her.
She selected Julia. I think it went down to another fifth and final round but she actually managed to abuse her grabs enough to get the win.
I decided to challenge her with my Steve and to make things interesting; I gave her TWO mercy rounds!

I still won easily though.
I won 9 matches and got 5 losses today on my card. I played 8 different players on both machines and I only lost to ONE of them.
My card's record now rises to 69 wins and 54 losses. I am now only 7 matches away from my 3rd natural roulette.
