No, I never condidered that this tourney was never intended to be expanded for the outside of Toronto community, since NeoRussell amongst others invited me.
Frequenting a site does not mean I know where to go to find things right away.
Where in my posts do I ever use the word mislead? I mean that it will be hard for the rest of Canada besides Toronto to find out if there is a tournament in Toronto if they visit tekkencanada.com. They will have to go to TTT instead. That is what I think is not planned out well at all. Canada does not equal Toronto.
On why I am in the Toronto Gatherings thread, well, since tournaments are so easy to find out about on tekkencanada, I should be looking in the "Tournament Info" section instead for information on the tournament, OBVIOUSLY, right?
The main reason we moved to TTT is to connect with our fellow Toronto Players. This was not done on a whim. We've been planning it for awhile now. I'm pretty sure I mentioned it to Shyft and Potatobrain last year. It was not because Tekken Canada was not doing a good job, I just felt that it was time to start our own community.
I'm preparing the Toronto Scene for all the fighting games coming out and there's so many of them. I also felt that the whole Toronto Fighting Game Community needs to get together as a whole. We maybe one big community but I want to atleast create bridges that will make people cross to different games. I can't really do that when we are in TekkenCanada. The name alone will alienate the people who plays other games.
Regarding the tournament thing. When I create tournament threads, I usually know what the number of people to expect to come. For that reason, I don't advertise small tournaments. That would just be a waste of money for out of towners. If I do feel that it merits advertising, i'll certainly let people know about it and try to get them to come.
Hopefully you understand my goal now and how I do tournaments.
