Tekken 6 Still Selling Strong?

August 7th, 2010 | by Iz-GOod

Looks like Tekken 6 is still doing pretty well, at least as far as sales go. According to Gamespot, Namco’s latest financial results show that 3.3 million copies of the game have been sold worldwide as of this August.

What they don’t mention is that most stores are selling it for 20$ now. Regardless, the more people buy it, the better it is for the community, so we can’t complain!

Namco Aiming for Casual Market

August 6th, 2010 | by Iz-GOod

Namco Bandai Games

According to Kotaku, Namco has plans to unite Namco Bandai and Namco Networks. It seems the owner of the Tekken franchise wants to put more focus on the casual market. It’s still unsure what this means for their fighting franchises, but I wouldn’t mind a simplified version of Tekken on Facebook.

Honestly, I just posted this because of the Roger Jr. screenshot.

Tekken Producer Very Active On Twitter

August 3rd, 2010 | by Iz-GOod

Harada Vs. Ono

Tekken series Producer Katsuhiro Harada has been very active on Twitter lately. He’s been answering all of the community’s questions.

You can find his Twitter account here: http://twitter.com/Harada_TEKKEN

He’s personally replied to most of my tweets, as well as several other requests:

  • A Challenge/Training mode is in the works
  • A “Save to Youtube” or “Save to Video” option for replays was planned in T6, but they encountered problems. They may try again in upcoming games.
  • Practice mode move record/playback was removed in T6 due to licensing issues.
  • He won’t say what Leo’s gender is, nor whether T7 or TKvSF will come out first.
  • He thinks Zangief would make bear soup out of Kuma (I agree).

You want to make sure T7 has a tag option? You want to bring back Alex or Jun? Well, this is your chance to be heard by the most important person as far as Tekken is concerned, so tweet away!

July 22nd, 2010 | by Shyft

Hey all! Shyft herewith a couple vids from my last trip to Joybox. First time I used their recording feature at the arcade, quite convenient, although i have to figure a way to suck better quality out of my compression lol. I’m not 100% sure about the Asuka’s player’s name he has a kanji at the end of his name that i couldn’t make out. In these videos i am playing Bruce against an Asuka and a Leo player. Hope you enjoy!
